Description of Services
Trinity Regional Eyecare provides the area’s most comprehensive eye health program. We specialize in the treatment of eye diseases and vision correction options including eyeglasses, contact lenses and laser eye surgery.
Our doctors have years of experience plus the latest technology to give prompt diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of eye disease. We pride ourselves on the total care we provide to our patients of any age.
Cataract
Trinity’s team has performed over 24,000 cataract surgeries since 1984 and is now averaging 1,800 surgeries per year. Trinity Regional Eyecare has earned its reputation for excellence in the field of cataract/lens implant surgery. Our ophthalmologists are experts in phacoemulsification, the preferred method of cataract removal plus a virtually “stitchless” technique for removing a cataract and replacing them with intraocular lenses. Along with excellent patient follow-up, most patients return home immediately after surgery and are able to return to work and drive the next day.

Diabetic Retinopathy
Since early detection is the best protection against loss of vision for people with diabetes, our providers offer opportunities for education and screening throughout the community. Working with individuals and advocacy groups, our providers recommend annual eye exams for all diabetic patients.

Neuro-Ophthalmology
One of the newer specialties, Neuro-Ophthalmology deals with the evaluation and treatment of neurological disorders that affect the eyes and vision. These include double vision or decreased vision, headache, upper or lower eyelid weakness, weakness or distortion of the facial muscles, or similar related conditions.

Orbital-Facial (Oculoplastic) Surgery
Orbital-Facial or Oculoplastic surgery involves evaluation and treatment of conditions around the eye that may arise from injury, disease or the aging process. Excessive tearing, distorted eyelids and orbits, or functional problems such as droopy or baggy eyelids are among the conditions that can be addressed through surgical or non-surgical means.

LASIK/PRK (Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis)
For patients who are dissatisfied with glasses or contact lenses, Trinity Regional Eyecare offers LASIK/PRK, a technique to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism by reshaping the cornea using a concentrated beam of light. Amazing results are being achieved. Our doctors and well trained staff will take the time to fully explain the screening process and the actual LASIK/PRK procedure. Following LASIK/PRK surgery, most patients notice a dramatic improvement in their vision within the first 24 hours and may be able to return to their normal activities within a few days.
To find out if LASIK/PRK surgery is right for you, contact Trinity Regional Eyecare to schedule a free no cost/no commitment laser vision evaluation.

Primary Eye Care
20/20 is only part of healthy vision. Proper eye care begins with a routine primary eye care exam and eye disease screening. Children should have their vision tested at an early age. At Trinity Regional Eyecare, our professional staff will provide comprehensive testing to detect other visual problems that may interfere with a patient’s ability to perform or learn.
Trinity Regional Eyecare provides a professional team to enhance your vision care. This team approach to proper eye care is important for a good examination and for healthy eyes.
